HORIZONS CODE OF CONDUCT

We want the choir to feel welcoming and inclusive, but as with setting up any new group agreeing upon shared expectations and creating a safe space for everyone is important. Thus, all participants are asked to agree to the following before joining:

• If you aren’t well enough to perform/rehearse, please just let us know, stay at home and get well soon
• Members should support and respect the leadership of the choir director, and all other members at all times.
• The choir will not accept any form of negative, offensive, insulting, discriminatory or aggressive behaviour, whether written, verbal, or physical, towards others; ‘respect and dignity for all’ is very much at the heart
  of our ethos.
• For the overall comfort and safety of everybody, please avoid attending in-person rehearsals, workshops, and performances intoxicated.
• The choir expects a minimum of an 80% attendance rate for each term, unless there are extenuating circumstances, or a longer absence is agreed in advance with the Musical Director
• The Musical Directors (Matt’s) decision is final​
